Excellent Performance of Cyproflanilide to Rice Suppressalis
Early summer in Nanchang city is already burning hot like a stove. On June 1st, a very important on-site observation took place at Zuoyue Nanchang Experimental. Cyproflanilide (I-785), an innovative insecticide independently developed by CAC International, made its debut in 2021 field trial of insecticide effect on rice suppressalis. Chairman Farmer Tin led a team of more than 20 people, including management, marketing and technical leaders from related departments, had witness the outstanding performance of Cyproflanilide on the control of highly resistant rice suppressalis.
Before the on-site observation, the project leader delivered safety notification and trial background. Then under the guidance of the group leader, the observers evaluated and recorded each trial area one by one. After that, visitors entered the paddy field, to conduct specific observation.
All the people were inspired by the victory of Cyproflanilide over the "enemy" suppressalis. During the observation, the larvae of the caterpillar were extracted from the withered sheath and heart of each rice plant, and the damage condition was counted one by one. By comparing the trial area of Cyproflanilide with that of Chlorantraniliprole and Abamectin, the control effect of the trail area surprised all. They were surprised at the severity of the damage caused by rice suppressalis, and even more amazed by the excellent control effect of Cyproflanilide.
After the observation, the participants had discussion on site. All the people highly spoke the efficacy of Cyproflanilide on the rice suppressalis. As a conclusion, Commercial Vice President Norman Wu, Marketing Director Jacky Wang, vice President Dr. Pang and Chairman Farmer Tin made summary statement respectively. They all believed Cyproflanilide would be a promising epoch-making product of CAC International in the history, and are more likely to become a milestone product in the history of resistant suppressalis prevention. Registration should be accelerated in order to effectively solve the pain points in the absence of effective insecticide in the resistant areas of suppressalis, and to make greater contributions to the high yield of rice.
Cyproflanilide is an interdiamide-structured insecticide independently developed by CAC International, and it is classified as group No.30 of IRAC and has no cross-resistance to existing insecticides. It has the characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity, wide insecticidal spectrum and long effective period. It has now entered the stage of registration trials, used for prevention and control of pest lepidoptera, coleoptera and thysanoptera etc. For the suppressalis especially in the resistance area, the control effect for rice leaf folder, beet armyworm, cotton leafworm, diamondback moth, fall armyworm, apple leaf roller, oriental fruit moth, flee beetle, leaf beetle and part of thrips is excellent.
